You know you're just talking stereotypes without any knowledge.

Older people are always backward old fogeys .... except when they're hippies who got old. While young people are always moderns who are forward looking. In the case of Iran, under the shah it was once a much more secular country. People raised there since the shah was overthrown while Carter was President were raised in an "Islamic republic."

What "kids"? You probably mean hippies and antiwar demonstrators, who didn't give a shit about segregation/integration. Heck, the hippie, Charles Manson, thought he was gonna provoke a race war. He called it helter skelter. He got his helter skelter prophecies from analyzing the lyrics of Beatles songs.
