The liberal north was Republican in 1860. The conservative south was Democratic. So you also just made my point. I have posted a zillion times the conservatives and liberals changed party names around 1900.

Ask who were the liberals and who were the conservatives, not what the party name was!

You conservatives know you were on the wrong side of history so you try to rewrite it. What a terrible way to live. Just admit it. There were few liberals and Republicans in the south in 1860-good lord.

Some here do the same thing with dixiecrats and the civil rights act. But it doesn't fool blacks. They hang with the liberals on purpose.
