Hi Jane, I know it sounds like we are all intolerant but there is alot of History involved in this. The majority of victims of the Inquisitions were Jewish and they did not have a chance to stop the false teachings that were coming down on them. The Nazis and the man that shot at us have no problem with killing Jews because God never cared for them He only used them to save them His true Chosen people.Did you know that the majority of Churches in Europe supported Hitlers final solution based on these attitudes. I feel I have more love for these people to try to prevent what is documented in history from repeating itself and allowing it to bring them into its web of destruction. There were many believing Gentiles in the Old Testament and they did not see any problem with Gods loving the Jewish people. An example is Ruth who said to Naomi " May your God be my God and may your PEOPLE be my people". The Old Covenant (Mosaic Law) has been fullfiled by Jesus but as you sense there are other Covenants God has with Israel that are still completely in effect.( New Covenant included) Is this thread based on Covenant Amelinialism? If it is I am in the wrong place because I don't think you really know Jesus until you study the dead Old Testament and my studies are tied to those revelations and their fullfilment in the New Covenant. The lost people (without Jesus) are lost and pointing fingers at them is ridiculous and totally unloving and against the teachings of the Lord. You know I don't say much anywhere so try to understand the importance of what they are teaching is to us.I want to encourage everyone to continue in the fruits of the Spirit;love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
