OK--that was OK for then, but this is now and DADT is no longer the policy and DADT meant, essentially, that Gays had to stay in the closet while in the military.

Now Gays can admit to their gayness and the question becomes, more or less, is this going to effect military readiness/effectivness? I personally think it is too early yet too answer this one and we need more data (or at least how the data we do have was arrived at).

So for me the jury is still out at this one.
