Well, I think with children's comments it's usually the truth a the RIGHT time--we just don't usually want to hear it. But children do have an innocence that lets them see things clearly that we have wrapped a lot of complex garbage around, or something!!

I wanted to tell you that your father sounds like an incredible person. Anyone who is parenting and manages NOT to make the same mistakes his parents did is to be commended for sure.
