Not only that, but IF they are on the exchange, then ALL of there plans must comply with the standards of the "blessed" plans. So any insurer who joins, can't offer products which people might like (such as a higher deductible) outside Mr Obama's divine plan. For awhile it looked like Blue Cross/Shield here in Oregon was going to deal with that be setting up a new Co. for the exchange business while opting out for their core business. But now it looks like they will be in as well.

I suspect within a few years alternatives pop up to chase such biz using what ever minimum statutory controls are needed to claim its a separate entity.

Thats what pisses me off about this. In some sense its blackmail.
