I like that the government is forcing corporations in the health insurance business to conform to certain standards. You may feel protected with you high-deductible plan, but I know at least two people who've had such plans cancelled by the company when they had to pay. For both of those people, it's come down to their lawyer against the companies legal team. They're still damaged with no insurance funds, the cases are still in court. One of them is fairly certain that the companies lawyers are just waiting for him to die.

I don't think my health should be subject to market forces in any case. I think eventually, we'll get to single-payer with health care as a right, not a commodity.
