Finding a USB 3.0, 2 TB or larger external hard drive with good reviews isn't easy. Even though I like 3.5" drives with a fan in the enclosure I went this a Western Digital Passport because of the generally good reviews. The failure rate on 2 TB and larger hard drives is much higher that people think. I like to see at least 80% 4 or 5 stars and at least 250 reviews. amazon.com Similiar Seagate: amazon.com
