But when a store that sells thousands and thousands of hard drives a year tells you that WD is the highest failure rate, I take note on that.

I have had a pile of drives die on me over they years. Didn't keep track of what manufacture, but I am sure there is a Seagate in there.

The topic was USB external drives.
