Just a note of caution for those who may be contemplating the purchase of gold or silver coins. Before going in whole hog try selling a coin & see what kind of mark-ups your dealing with. Maple Leafs/ Kruegerands and others can be bought with about a 1-3% commission on the buy & sell depending on how many you are purchasing. The more esoteric the the coin the greater the spreads tend to be.

My personal favorite is 40% silver half dollars. They can be purchased for only a small premium over face. If worse comes to worse they are always worth $.50 but if silver should ever take off you will get the appreciation based on the 40% content. Just a thought.

Regards, Dave
