All this vituperation directed at Barry Witz got me curious, so
I did some searching. Came across some interesting comments
about him on the STGA thread. Also found out that he was
formerly an attorney for SEC, an officer of NYSE, and is referred
to as a "turnaround specialist".

What specifically has this guy done that would be considered
"questionable"? Other than being maligned in Barron's and
Newsweek articles, and on SI. Are there any matters of public
record that can definitely tie him to unsavory characters or
activities?

Not that I'm trying to stick up for him, I just want to know what
exactly he's done to deserve this reputation he's saddled with.
