Black & Veatch and Kiewit Complete First Stage of Jordan Cove LNG FacilityCompletion of FEED and Design Work Prepares LNG Export Site for Construction

Black & Veatch and Kiewit have completed the front-end engineering and design (FEED) work and pre-construction planning activities for the Jordan Cove Liquefaction Project. Located in Coos Bay, Ore., the facility will utilize Black & Veatch's PRICO(R) LNG technology to produce up to six million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year for export.

So now they need to get the NG to the new port facility from the bakin. This IMO will be the difficult part. I bought a small position in Veresen Inc which I will add shares to once the new port construction begins.

I am also keeping my eyes open for other complementary investments for this project including companies that may announce follow on service/operating contracts (maybe LNEGY LINDE AG ADR), pipe supplier, compressors etc. I am also interested who/what firms will be transporting the compressed gas: GLNG and/or others.

Still not sure if this port can/will be built w/ all of the special permits and licenses. This will be the only West Coast LNG facility and the closest to Japan and China.
