Urrrrrrhg. J my broker was supposed to call back, but hasn't, which I suspect means he had a morning appointment and will do so later. As I may have said, all the PW Help Desk (which I begin to think isn't very helpful) had to offer was a silly warrant. The CME futures options aren't hard to understand, but may not be as potentially remunerative as regular options. But unless I can figure out how the PHLX stuff works I won't know, will I?

It really OUGHT to be easy enough to ask the derivatives desk: what's the best way to short the yen? And get a reasonable answer...

And yes, Market Profile almost always works like a charm. At least in part, I should think, because it was invented by the CBOE specifically for the OEX, so traders pay attention, which probably to some extent makes it a self-fulfilling prophecy. I've thought of trying to do it for equities, but it'd be pretty tedious.
