I agree, but I think we will change as we learn i.e. more sophisticated social systems that get at the root problems regarding the poor and not just address the symptoms; and we will kill less for food.

I don't know how we will change, but I am sure we will change for the better going forward.

You too, in your post here, are talking about an ethical evolvement/development to result in a change in human behavior, and that is what I was asserting about the religious influence developing a resistance in us, as a race, to use WMD's. Not much difference, no?
