Intel upgraded to neutral at Piper Jaffray 9:21 AM ET 8/19/13 \| Marketwatch NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Intel Corp. was upgraded on Monday to neutral from underweight by analysts at Piper Jaffray. "The chip industry is now solidly in the post-PC era, but PCs are not going away anytime soon," the analysts wrote in a report. "We expect a modest corporate refresh cycle driven by the end of support for Windows XP in April 2014 coupled with the release of Windows 8.1 in [the fourth quarter]." Also, with the launch of Bay Trail in the second half of 2013, "Intel now has a low-end processor for tablets with good enough performance for consumers," according to Piper Jaffray.
