What I find of great interest is that at the time of the initial discussion/agreement to buy Lofts a few months ago, ABTX was at/about $8.50 per share (according to the NY Times article Glen posted). ABTX bought Lofts for 2,000,000 shares and cash. BY THE TIME OF THE CLOSING, ABTX was worth $11.25 or better...a cool [whopping] GAIN of 32.2% in value for Lofts sellers BEFORE THEY EVEN CLOSED.

If "I" owned a small seed company, and was looking around at the consolidation going on about me in my given industry, I'ld be booking a ticket to Las Vegas to meet a certain CEO ASAP to get in line. Guess that's happening anyway as we conjecture...but to make a 30+% ROI before the sale is closed must make the Lofts' previous owners feel quite comfortable.

Of course, would it be repeatable to make a 30% return on a deal before the close for future sellers ? Who knows. But is sure a great story within numerous other positive stories surrounding this stock.
