<< There were several factors that made me think that the possibility of insider buying were
higher than normal.

1. The depressed stock price following the conference call.

2. The relative newness of Ken, Steve, and the board members. >>

These reasons have nothing to do with the CC. I will grant you those are reasonable reasons to speculate that there might be some insider buying. As long as the board wanted to talk about it as speculation it was fine with me. The problem arose when the board began to talk about it like it had already happened and was officialy public.

OK now we get to the CC.

<< It wasn't so much what was said,

but I've dealt with people for a long time, and there was something about the answer that
made me think that I better watch for signs of insider buying. >>

I didn't have a problem with people guessing that there might be insider buying. The problem is people started talking about it as if it was already signed sealed and delivered. Also, maybe you speak with these guys a lot and understand their way speaking so you can notice little subtleties that I can't.

Anyway I don't see how it serves any purpose to try to give "inside scoops" to the thread before they are widely known. It only tells me that I'm going to be the last to know and it's not going to do me any good by the time it get's around to me.

Also, I don't understand how you can get so upset by the notion that your helping the shorts out with your info. If your info is worthwhile and profitable knowledge for the shorts it should certainly be profitable for you as well. In other words if you come across something and you tell the shorts to cover because the stock's going to pop aren't you going to profit from going long ahead of time?
