so true! I pointed out here back in 2011 (I think that is the date) that Gold had reached a very major resistance line. I tried to write an article about it for Seeking Alpha that they rejected as being "all technical analysis" so we speculated it could be pressure from too many Gold advertisers.... so I started posting these charts on my own web site

August 25, 2011 post showing Gold at the top of the channel at $1,856.

Unfortunately, some of my "mentors" who are gold bulls along with my own belief gold is in a LT secular bull market due to money printing, I didn't officially go negative on Gold so missed a huge opportunity for fame. -grin-

Also, in all honesty, if I had called that gold top in 2011, would I have gone back to positive when it reached the green support line here

or would I have whiffed? I buy and sell equities as I have more confidence and long-term success record so it didn't really matter, but I have to be honest that it always looks easier in retrospect.

That is why I think publishing an actual portfolio performance number like I do and GZ does in the header is a must for anyone you want to take seriously. Without numbers, it is just noise to get on TV and sell stuff I think,
