Although it's possibly positive for NFLX and for me as its user, I find these exclusive deals quite annoying in general. What if Fififlix gets Universal exclusive? What do you do? Not watch Universal movies? Pay Fififlix whatever extortionate amount they demand? It's not fully hypothetical, there's clearly gonna be a full fledged fight for exclusive content. I am not sure why cable cos are not doing it, but perhaps they are prohibited by some rules or law. Would people subscribe to Comcast AND Verizon FiOS if one of them snagged one major studio and another one snagged another? Seems like a crappy proposition for general public.
