San Leon shares rise on Polish fracking test By Jamie Ashcroft August 21 2013, 8:20am proactiveinvestors.co.uk San Leon Energy ( LON:SLE) edged 4% higher in early deals as it revealed findings of fracture injection tests on the Siciny-2 well in Poland. It has carried out two additional tests, following the first in May, and the results confirm the fractured nature of the reservoir in the well. The findings also suggest effective permeability, ‘frackable’ rock and slight over-pressure. The results are ‘in line’ with other tight gas projects around the world, the company said. "We are delighted with the results of this DFIT, indicating an effective formation permeability in excess of 1,000 times that of the first DFIT,” said chairman Oisin Fanning. “The reservoir properties of the Carboniferous tight gas sand appear to be in line with highly attractive tight gas sand plays in the US."
