Liberal disappointment in Obama considered in light of Bill Clinton:

Bill Clinton moved to the center and worked with Republicans leading to a "balanced budget"
Obama moved to the left and stiff armed Republicans and has made trillion dollar deficits permanent

Clinton refused to send the Kyoto treaty to the Senate, did nothing for "green energy" and gave royalty relief to encourage deep water drilling in the GOM
Obama has refused to allow the Keystone pipeline to be built, wasted $80B on "green energy" companies mostly run by his political cronies, and his EPA is slowly but surely shutting down the coal industry in the US

Clinton initiated DADT
Obama ended DADT and allows "Pride" parades on military bases and is demanding chaplains perform gay marriages

Clinton signed DOMA
Obama refused to support DOMA

Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act
Obama failed to negotiate a status of forces agreement leading to Iraq demanding a complete US pullout

Clinton gave up on Hillarycare
Obama signed Obamacare

Obama has governed far to the left of Clinton or any other President, has sided with the left on most issues regardless of the harm to the country .... yet Clinton is wildly popular on the left while Obama is a "disappointment"

I think it's cause he's black.
