SS is welfare. Anything that is a payment from taxpayers is welfare in my book. I don't collect SS, because I'm too young at 53. I long ago made the assumption that I'd never see a dime of SS and so have accumulated enough money to take care of my family without needing government support of any kind. Bernanke has been very good to me recently and has enabled my retirement plans nicely. I wish he had acted like more of a santa claus for the 99%, but alas, he's been a grinch when it comes to them, since he's firmly in the corner of the 1%.
