Microsoft’s New Windows Phone Ad Takes The Fight To Apple And Samsung

Microsoft seems to be fully aware that two of its biggest competitors on the mobile front are Apple and Samsung. The iOS maker and the Android king both have been the target of Windows Phone video commercials in the past.

And this latest ad continues Redmond’s fight against the iPhone and Galaxy devices.

According to Mary Jo Foley, this glorious (and funny) new commercial is scheduled to air during MTV Music Video Awards this Sunday, and showcases the Nokia Lumia 1020 and its impressive photography possibilities thanks to its astonishing 41 megapixel camera.

The video is set at a children’s play, with parents watching in an attempt to capture these moments:

Filled with humorous moments, this brilliant new ad shows iPhone and Galaxy owners scrambling to get the best shots — before a physical fight breaks out. Towards the end, the commercial cuts to a couple sitting coolly and calmly at the very back row, having taken their shots with a Nokia Lumia 1020.

The ending, however, is even more delightful.

This, again, is one of the better ads that Redmond has recently put out — really well done commercial that highlights the key point of the product, while also having enough of a narrative to making the ad a memorable one.

The technology titan is increasingly focusing its efforts on promoting the capabilities of its products, while ensuring that the marketing differentiates them from the leading competitors.

Send in your thoughts on this new commercial using the comments!
