Neither you nor I have had any exposure to any data grooming from either Merck or ONTY. Are you accusing Dr. Butts and collaborators of irrational (or worse) grooming of data? No, as I have said repeatedly I am "accusing" them of being human - not cyborgs - and unless humans are very very careful they have an overwhelming tendency to look at failed datasets 30 or 40 ways and then justify the one of the most favorable ones. This shows up as a very strong tendency in virtually every psychology trial on the topic - and somewhat oddly these tendencies to failures of reasoning are poorly correlated to IQ.
