You cannot ask that question without invoking social science and how one wants a society to function.

The rich have used their power as they always do to their advantage in tax codes and in law e.g. Bankers get to call certain personal income capital gains, many corporations pay no taxes at all, farms get subsidies, and there are laws which impede organizing unions.

We have monopolies, and fixing of markets. You should be aware of all these tings, I shouldn't to explain them to you.

In days past laws allowed slavery, chain gangs and union busting. For all of history before modern laws workers were treated terribly. The powerful business people can make life hell for workers and will work them for as little as they can. Minimum wages should be raised.

In more civilized countries like the Scandinavian countries people get universal health care and free education and better worker benefits.. And they take care of heir poor better.

But if none of that is important to you then you will find fault with it.
