It was an act of genius when Steve Case merged AOL with Time-Warner. While the AOL shareholders took a hit, the hit would have been greater if they continued on a stand-alone basis.

It once irritated me that Mark Cuban used to gloat about how badly he had taken Yahoo. I have since forgiven him, not that my irritation bothered him. I have become a big Mark Cuban fan.
