I was referring to the broader purpose and mission for SI under new ownership, which has been absolutely silent apart from a few token words when they took over.

More than six months later, what do they have in mind for the site? Have they noticed the steady attrition in the stock boards? Without a sense of purpose and energy, SI is just some servers with a code jockey keeping us going, until someone else gets tired of paying the bills and either sells us again or just pulls the plug.

Since early 1997, I can't remember the owners ever engaging in any kind of discussion with the members about what the site should be. And SI is nothing except its members, software and servers. And it's dwindling compared to years past.
