Wharf, who pays the interest? The US Treasury. Where does the US Treasury get the money to pay that interest? Not from Congressional surpluses, because we all know Congress is running a massive deficit. So where do they get the money? Well, the US Treasury has to sell more Treasury Bonds to pay the interest on what it owes to the SS Trust Fund. So that adds to the US debt load. Do you deny this? These are facts I am telling you. There is zero speculation here. It is all on the SS Trust Fund website.

If I put an IOU in my left pocket and owe myself money, do I miraculously count the IOU in my left pocket as an asset that makes me wealthier? I don't, but maybe you do.
