It was a truly dreadful flight. They had a "mechanical problem" that required men with large drills to come do things under the wings. First--well, after 2 1/2 hours--they fed us, which was Not A Good Sign. Then after five hours, by which time those of us who smoke had become rather menacing, they let us go back into the terminal. After seven hours the crew went off duty; someone shouted "Hey! Leave us the keys!" At least they let us ferry large amounts of booze from the plane to the waiting room. Finally we got a new crew and took off, but were made to fly up the coast instead of taking a more direct route because, as the captain helpfully explained, "We have to test the repairs in flight". Memorable.

I'm wondering whether the pullback R's been expecting if the VIX drops below the lower BBand isn't happening now--taht is, taht instead of getting a real drop we're just sitting around doing pretty much nothing. It'll probably make a move of some sort in the last hour...
