Look at how many people on this thread have no understanding that SS is running a deficit that must be paid for by increasing the US national debt. It's amazing the amount of ignorance on the topic when it is all on the SSA website for everyone to read.

Actually by law if SS did use up its surplus then benefits would automatically be reduced. Yes the amount of "ignorance" is amazing.
