ST. LOUIS • In a ruling that could have implications for legislative races across Missouri, a judge has ordered State Rep. Jamilah Nasheed removed from the ballot for state Senate.

Nasheed's right to run had been questioned by a Democratic primary rival, State Sen. Robin Wright-Jones, who filed a lawsuit questioning Nasheed's eligibility.

Nasheed does not currently live in the St. Louis Senate district she is seeking to represent, the Fifth District, a point no one is arguing.

The Missouri Constitution requires senators to have lived in their district at least a year before they are elected.
