I just do not know where you would get $8000

Flake is only $1500

You are making some statements here with authority, as if you know whats going on. However it appears you do not. You should do some reading as to where vein/hydrothermal/Lump pricing lies.
Once you get above 95% the price grows in leaps and bounds. Finally when you get to 99.9999 it sells for $35K per tonne.
This has absolutely "nothing to do with flake". Flake is another of the three graphites. Their is Lump which we have, then Amorphous and Flake.

Offtakes do not necessarily result in reduced prices. Guaranteed delivery can offset price. If a company is guaranteed a source, sometimes thats enough. Will it be enough this time? No idea, but if we sell Anode for the Steel Industry for $25K a tonne and its worth $30K does it matter?
