| | | I believe that with the advent of genetic weapons, bioweapons, 3D printing, drones, micro-drones, and miniature-robots, armed citizens are the very least of their worries. Hell, how long does anyone think it will be before a smart kid with a high aptitude for such technology and the ability to carefully plan a strategy is able to take out a building full of his oppressors with a remote-control micro-drone armed with deadly chemical weapons that he manufactured at home? Perhaps another kid would be smart enough to pack deadly explosives into a miniature remote-controlled car and drive it, undetected, underneath a convoy of his oppressors before detonating it from afar. Perhaps he would have also determine how to operate and control such a device from a distant locale, over an encrypted Internet connection, with no trace back to him. There are even very tiny drones now that are the size of fruit flies. What if one of those little drone-flies is capable of something far worse than simply buzz around collecting data. What if it can sting with a deadly toxin that kills in seconds? These concepts are no longer merely science fiction from James Bond movies.
My point is that the elite have much bigger security concerns than citizens owning guns. If they take away the guns, citizens will find other ways to counter that and strike back even harder. For example, I strongly believe that a rouge geneticist will eventually determine how to eliminate all threats to his genome with an airborne agent that selectively eliminates all external threats at the DNA level. Again, this is really not the stuff of science fiction any longer. It's just a matter of time before someone with the knowledge and motivation takes action.
Indeed, the bastards are not completely invincible. Edward Slowden and Julian Assange have proven that by exposing their lies and secrets, but I concede, those disclosures may have been allowed to sow more confusion and amplify a growing distrust of everything, which actually strengthens the enslavement process.
Anyway, the bottom line is that I strongly believe that there will be a strong resistance against our enslavement. |
