Very good points, and I agree with them all. My point is that, while this mass 'genocide' (of sorts) is occurring, the American president is doing two things that are unseemly -- namely, talking about requiring a U.N. mandate in order to at least attempt to prevent thousands more deaths (it would appear that he believes the U.S. no longer has any power ... diplomatic, military or otherwise ... for good in the world unless we are working under the U.N. flag) ... and the fact that he chooses to spend five hours golfing during a day when so much devastation is occurring, and things are escalating out of control, is evidence of his own brand of unmitigated personal arrogance (not that we need any more evidence, mind you).
