It absolutely does and it shows who is racist,

You are correct. The story has been driven into mainstream culture with the message of a white extremist murdering an innocent black child and getting away with it because of some loop hole called "Stand your "Ground."
If I google anything about Zimmerman I see a list where seven out of eight media reports are condemning George Zimmerman and his supporters and demanding "justice for Trayvon" the murdered innocent black child.

The problem I have with that is the extent the media and its audience has gone to perpetrate an "Emporer Has No Cloths" hoax, which the mainstream audience seem genuinely thrilled to swallow and support hook line and sinker, at least for the time being.

Facts which the mainstream audience ignores:
1. Trayvon was not innocent. He was a street thug by every definition of the word and perpetrated a deadly attack.
2. Zimmerman didn't get away with anything, he did the only thing he could to defend himself from a deadly attack. Zimmerman waved his right to the "Stand your Ground" defence. He is an innocent man being persecuted by the left wing establishment.
3. The event (hoax) has been used to inflame racial hatred across the country by the left wing establishment.
