My conclusion from your comment. "My SIL says almost all of his friends researching AGW believe it is real. In fact I think he said all of them. " I would never hire your SIL. I would never ask you SIL about anything. There is zero science showing any causality between CO2 and the earth's temperature. Clearly you and your SIL do not comprehend that. Past ice core show overwhelmingly that CO2 levels followed temperature changes. The causality follows the simple concept that colder water can hold more CO2 than warmer water. Over long periods of the Earth's warming dissolved CO2 would escape from the oceans. Over long periods of cooling more CO2 would dissolve into the oceans. It not magic it is not complicated. But there is little hope that the believers in the catholic position on AGW will ever listen to the Galileo faction.
