I know most of the current "happy campers" are of the western vintage, but if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions regarding the western side of the Appalachian Mountains, I'm all ears. Our camping this summer has been severely curtailed and we're going to close out the year in a blaze of exploration. I broke my heel/calcaneous in early June, and have been off my left leg for 12 weeks as of tomorrow. AND 12 weeks apparently is the bingo time for full weight bearing activity. My ortho confirmed that early last week when I visited with him over the phone. Our first destination is Jackson Center, Ohio, where we will have an option installed (roadside awnings plus rear), and a few nits taken care of since our trailer is only six months old. After that exercise, we're off to see whatever's out there, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. And yes, we frequent state and national parks. Eat your heart out Alan, I've had the geezer card for eight years now. ;-)
