Why doesn't the iOS keyboard recognize a date, such as Aug 27, 2013 or August 27, 2013 or jan 1, 2014 and make the obvious formatting switches, like staying Numeric after the comma and a Space, or capitalizing Jan? Does Android fix these common date formats? Kindle Fire lets you hold the W (and all 10 top row keys) until it enters the digit for that position.
