Well, Lu has just bought Livingston, right? If they are looking at Ascend at the same time, I am sure that the assimilation of Netva would be easy. I agree with the distraction scenario u posture, HOWEVER ...I believe if someone were to make an offer, that would force the others to seriously jump in. If that happens then we would see some excellent #'s. Where did the Lucent rumours come from? I can see the attrractiveness of the deal to Lu and others. I wonder at what level in Lu this is at? Alphonse
