I would argue, correctly, that that is a product of the welfare state sucking money out of the hands of more productive people and giving to the less productive. The fundamental misunderstanding of liberals is clear. Growth is a result of productivity, not consumption.

It is investment that causes productivity. Almost all liberals are confused about this.
