I'm guessing most Reps will oppose it, most Dems will support it for Obama, and you are still back to the same problem of Obama going it alone (from a partisan perspective that is).

For all the promise of the Arab Spring, its not clear many Arabs are much better off. There have been plenty of deck chair position swaps, but civil society in any of those countries is generally worse off.

The number of civilians killed annually in Iraq is still higher than it was under Saddam. Its just different individuals are at the top of the heap now than before, but so what?
