I'm certainly not saying that you need only add money to public education and that does it. I'm saying you can not improve education for poor folk without adding money. You obviously need to spend it well.

For everyone who says money won't solve the problem, just ask them, seriously, if they'll move into the town or section of a town with the most badly funded public education system and then put their children there. Of course not.

To repeat. It should be obvious that more money will not, in and of itself, solve the education problems faced by poor families and children. It should also be obvious that it cannot be addressed, let alone solved, without a great deal more money. And we can't do that without the political will to do so. Which we definitely don't have. Only the political will to ship more of my tax dollars off to the wealthy.
