Again, if they decide to ethnically cleanse inside their country, I would not interfere. None of my business. The minute they step outside their boundaries of their state, though, I'd make it my business. Very clear. Very easy. Why would anyone have such a hard on to interfere in the business of other countries? Until we solve our problems here at home, I've no idea why that makes sense. It's not like we don't have tons of tragedies here. Let's cultivate our own gardens- and let the folks in other countries cultivate or destroy theirs- as they choose.

Well OK. "A" for clarity and keeping to the KISS formula.

I just think that being the most powerful nation on the planet with the apparent ability to surgically stop the killing of civilians gives us the obligation to consider acting on it. We should t least debate it--as a democracy.

I do say that this is messy process and the answer won't be clear cut in every instance and it's not a freebie for us either as those offended by any such action we undertake may choose to "get even" down the road, but nevertheless being the greatest power carries with it the responsiblity to consider it--morally. There has to be some kind of code of ethics at work here if we are who we say we are in our constitution and Declaration of Independence. And within limits of our budget considerations also.

Not that we shouldn't also be trying to raise up our economically oppressed either.
