I agree about his governing, but he had to take if to congress. He set up his own trap and then almost walked into it.

If he had bombed without taking it to congress the republican house would have started impeachment proceedings. They are looking for a reason to impeach him.

As well, they could lie about their position on Syria as they were not on record. Going to congress was his only play and what bothers me is it took him and his advisers so long to see it.

Now everyone will be on record and a great fight will ensue in the pub party between the neo cons owned by the military industrial complex and the libertarians headed by Paul and Cruz. both of who are very smart and very mean and nuts.

How he looks, is less important than how he would have cooked, had he gone in alone. He was hanging way out there politically. And it would have been bad to catastrophic. There was no winning paly for him if he went in alone.
