The Nokesville, VA area is gorgeous for a weekend day ride....we did this loop: ridewithgps.com which started off in farmland and ended up passing through some spectacular horse farm country. Not far outside DC but another world completely..... If you go, stop in at the Chuck Wagon restaurant, seriously. Great burgers.
