I don't know the cost per phone of MSFT or GOOG licensing fees. What I do know is that it is front end loaded in favour of NOK but that NOK expects to readily digest any licensing costs going forward as W8 volumes increase. My understanding is that NOK has agreed to pay MSFT a fixed sum over a period of years. How that fixed sum is prorated annually , i'd guess is based upon estimated annual volumes. Cost per phone will ultimately be inversely related to volumes as far as I know.

Elop has been clear on rationalizing the NOK/MSFT relationship so I wouldn't anticipate any deviation, in the short term, from NOK's current policy of MSFT-only phones.
