Erwin and Valentine said it's simplistic ....holy slime mold, you cannot even click back to read what you posted & don't even know when you are being teased.

Of course there are still mysteries & murky areas in describing emergence of multicellular organisms, who would have thought otherwise? But there are also great theories why this started happening far back to the first slime molds & cyanobacteria; there's the symbiotic theory, cellularization (syncytial) theory & the colonial theory. And we have observed all three!

In the end, like we have seen so many times before current theories will be expanded, elaborated upon & and many mechanisms & effects congeal, but the total emergent picture remains clear. You can just bet your booty that the oxygenation in the shallows of the vast coastal sea beds was of great import, for this we only have to use common sense.
