Just thinking:

Ericcsson is aware that consolidation of telecommunications services is imminent as telephone/data and land/wireless go through functional integration. Reading their last prospectus' plans and vision statements puts one in mind of fundamental changes in the company along with the rest of the industry. It might be possible that they are raising cash for an acquisition particularly in the areas of ADSL and ATM.
