As far as Stephen Meyer, he may in fact believe that, but he doesn't say it. You're the one inferring that ... though I think you're right. There isn't a better explanation. Why do we not we see Meyer's applying his silly make believe logic to the Permian-Triassic extinction event 250mil yrs later? Why? The appearance from nowhere of new things isn't at all like killing off existing life forms. Are you stupid or something?
