Hi zax -

The new NOK . . . an Alcatel/Lucent merger?

I always liked their wireless mobile division and still think it has tremendous opportunity especially the network that is now in place in China.

So here is the question?

Do you or anyone know if NOK signed some non compete clause w/ Microsoft for the future development of any smartphone products? I am thinking if NOK designs and builds a smartphone for the China market that ties into their wireless network there, they could build quite the eco-system for their users.

Most of their customers have no PC so these phones (perhaps an Android "open" OS) w/ the "cloud" services provided by the wireless carrier and/or NOK's new NSN division. Just having the growing China network can/would be extremely profitable for the new Nokia.

I hope the new management provides investors with their long term road map and if it pegged on expanding their current China infrastructure it actually may be a good time to buy more stock. I also want to hear about what their plans are for building new wireless networks in the emerging countries.

This will be an interesting story that has yet to completely play out. For me, it's not anymore about Microsoft but NOK.
